Elevator Doors 11:58 PM

The doors opened. You both got in. Neither of you pressed a floor.

It was nearly midnight. The lobby was empty. The elevator arrived and you stepped in together without discussion. The doors closed. A moment passed. Someone laughed. No button had been pressed. The doors opened again on the same floor. You both stepped out. The night continued differently from that point.
