At L'AUTRE VIE, a fragrance begins as a memory, an imagined scene, or a moment we do not want to lose. We translate that moment into an olfactory brief — its light, temperature, atmosphere, distance, and emotional tone — before the composition begins to take shape.
FROM MOMENT TO COMPOSITION
The process is less about describing notes than recreating a feeling.
A bright citrus opening may suggest morning light. Tea, woods, soft florals, skin-like musks, or mineral notes may give shape to stillness, warmth, distance, or memory.
Each composition is built to serve the moment first.
MATERIALS & FORM
Materials are chosen not simply for rarity, but for the role they play in the story of a fragrance.
We consider texture, diffusion, longevity, balance, and the way a scent evolves on skin.
Each format — Eau de Parfum, Extrait de Parfum, or Fragrance Stick — is developed for a different way of experiencing scent.

Formulated in France.
Our fragrances are filled and packaged with carefully selected production partners chosen for their quality, care, and craftsmanship.
For selected small-batch releases, the final filling and finishing are completed personally by our Founder.
SMALL BATCH, BY INTENTION
Certain releases are produced in a single batch, with each bottle individually numbered.
For us, small-batch production is not simply about scarcity. It allows each release to remain connected to the particular moment from which it began.
Once a moment has been made, it is not endlessly repeated.
